Melancholy and sentimental, Evienne is very quiet and spends much of their time remembering the past. They have a very sad air about them, and it's true that they very often feel sadness - however, they also care deeply about the lives of children and the wounded, and are very motherly. They're incredibly lonely due to being alone most of the time in their realm, but at the same time very distant from others due to not knowing how to open up. They value the spirits of those who suffered in life, and want to make sure everyone they can help has a happy ending.
Biography:
Evienne grew up an indigenous child in foster care, who couldn't seem to find a home due to how severely depressed they were. Their main comfort in childhood was a friend they met in the system, and the two of them would often sit together and dream up fantasy creatures to write about. Of these, Evienne's favorite was always the mysterious butterfly lady with a unicorn horn.
Unfortunately, the two would eventually be separated, and Evienne would fall into even deeper mental health struggles. They ended up running away from their foster home one night at 16, and met a grisly end with a man who kidnapped them, killing them within 3 hours.
When Evienne woke up, they were somewhere completely new - a misty, blue tinted forest filled with quiet bird song. Their appearance had changed - they had now taken up the appearance of the butterfly spirit they used to draw as a child. Evienne had been reborn as a spirit guardian of children and the wounded, whose job was to guide troubled souls into their next life.
Thus, Evienne now spends time comforting the suffering lives that enter their realm, so that they may pass peacefully on to the next life. They often spend time remembering the past - wondering what they could have done differently, or if no matter what they would have been doomed to become just another statistic.
